Sarah Dudgeon/Studio Potter

I grew up on a farm in southern Wisconsin, the second oldest of ten kids.  My childhood  prepared me well for my life as a studio potter.
I received a BA in studio arts from the University of Wisconsin at Lacrosse in 1996 and went on to do an apprenticeship in Bayfield Wisconsin.  In 2001 I purchased an old general store near Amery Wisconsin and converted it into a home and studio.
We have three studio openings a year, Memorial Day weekend, the first Saturday in July and the second weekend in December.  We are always open by chance or appointment.  Please message me or call to make an appointment.  Thanks, Sarah.

The Process

One of the many reasons that I love my work, is the variety of activities in completing each piece. From creating  (throwing, if on the wheel), to finishing (trimming, attaching handles), to bisque firing, then glazing and firing the wood kiln.  I truly enjoy that each day my work is different.
